Happy Friday! Today I want to change things up a little bit. I talk a lot on my blog reviewing products that I’m trying, and things get changed up in my skincare and makeup routine fairly frequently. Reviews are at least 80% of my beauty content, which is absolutely fine!
But I like varying things up a bit, so today I want to talk about the products that I repurchase over and over. Some of them are ones I’ve repurchased once or twice, and some are ones I have been committed to for months or years. So let’s switch things up a bit and talk about some of the products I rely on.
When it comes to cotton rounds and cotton buds, I’m very picky about what I use. So I use Superdrug’s own-brand 100% Pure Cotton Wool Buds and Cotton Wool Round Pads. These are what I buy exclusively, as I like how they perform. The cotton buds are extremely affordable, and each box lasts me a very long time, even with my husband grabbing a cotton bud every now and again.
The cotton rounds particularly are ones I’ll never move away from if I can avoid it, as I find that they don’t fall apart or break apart when you soak it in skincare products, or if you accidentally pinch the round when trying to pick it up. They’re very soft and gentle on my skin. But I repurchase these every month or so, buying these in the larger packs of 3.
I might be mistaken, but to my understanding, they’re also fairly environmentally friendly as they are 100% cotton with no plastics. Please feel free to correct me if this is a misconception on my part.
One that’s unsurprising to see is the Botanics All Bright Cleansing Facial Wipes, where at least one packet appears in my monthly empties posts. I use these makeup wipes exclusively, both for cleaning makeup of when I’m being lazy, but predominantly for spot-cleaning my makeup brushes for day to day between more intensive brush cleaning sessions.
I typically repurchase these in batches of 3 when Boots has a 3 for 2 offer on Botanics, so these aren’t ones I need to go out and pick up frequently. But I like using these because they’re biodegradable wipes, so much kinder to the environment.
A repurchase that I picked up in a pinch, is the LUSH Mint Julips Lip Scrub. I reviewed this all the way back in 2014, and I picked another tub of this product when the E.L.F. lip exfoliator I picked up was unusable.
I struggle to remember to use this frequently, but I am developing the habit of using it every night to help remove traces of lipstick. I love mint with a passion, so of all the scents/flavours, this fits me perfectly.
A desk companion of mine that I went out of my way to repurchase is the Superdrug Oat & Coconut Intensive Hand Cream. This is a product I tried to repurchase straight away but couldn’t find the display for. So I bought another product but didn’t get along with it. So when I eventually found these on the shelves, I picked up 2 tubes of these, and I’m working on my 2nd tube now.
This is the ideal combination of hydrating for dry patches, but also nourishing to prevent eczema breakouts. I find that some hand creams do the former and not the latter, so my hands still get sore and uncomfortable, which I find more problematic than just dry and flaky skin. So I want to keep using this hand cream for as long as it’s available.
A makeup brush I can’t get enough of is the EcoTools Retractable Kabuki Brush. I recently repurchased this in my YesStyle haul back in August. I use this daily for applying setting powder, and touching up throughout the day with my mattifying powder. It’s one I hope I never have to go without, as it’s travel-friendly, sits nicely on my desk throughout the day, and is a great companion makeup brush that can be a multi-purpose brush if you want it to be.
I plan to pass along my older one to mum before it’s totally worn out so she can try it (obviously I’ll clean it first) and I opened up my new one on Monday.
I want to include an *affiliate link* for this makeup brush, as I think it’s worth every penny. You’re not obligated to use this link, but if you do, it does support my blog.
Finally we have 2 backups that I repurchased that are sitting in storage until I need them. The first is the PURITO Centella Green Level Eye Cream which I adore as my day time eye cream. I’m about halfway through my first tube, and when I was hit with the shock that I was making a dent faster at some times than I was previously, I picked up another tube so I’m definitely prepared.
Lastly, an eyebrow pencil that I really liked is the MUA Brow Define Micro Precision Eyebrow Pencil. I have a couple of other eyebrow pencils I want to try out, but when I saw this on-sale in Superdrug a couple of months ago, I picked this up because I knew I would enjoy this when I eventually get around to it. This isn’t a product I’d use exclusively, but it is one I enjoy enough that I wanted a backup.
So here’s a little ‘haul’ of sorts of the products I repurchase at the moment. I hope this was enjoyable to read. It’s nice to not be reviewing products all the time, and just indulge in the products that stop getting attention on my blog. These are all ones I highly recommend, and have full intentions of continuing using for personal use.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post, it means a lot to me to receive your support. I hope you are happy and healthy, and have a wonderful weekend!
