Now that it’s September, the cooler weather is coming back and so are trends. While I don’t really care for trends that much (because come on, how often do they suit everybody anyway?) I do like to try out looks that suit my mood and the season itself, regardless of what fashion trends seem to be popular at the moment. So I have four lip products that are going to represent different colour choices I’ve been going recently.
The first is a lovely bright pink shade which really contradicts the typical shade range, but for some reason, but I feel bolder rocking it anyway. This is from the brand B. and is from their B. Vibrant Lip and Cheek Colour range, in the shade “112 Fandango“. This particular product is very creamy and easy to apply although it does fade quickly. Personally I don’t mind since it means I’m actually using up the product. I normally love the “little goes a long way” type of products, but lip products never end up finished with me so this is an exception to my rule.
Next is one of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in the shade “005 Crush“. It’s a slightly daunting berry shade, and one I’m usually a bit scared to wear out, but mum insists it looks good in me, so I’ve yet to throw it out. I remember buying this one in Exeter when I went shopping with mum a couple of years ago and she picked this one out for me, so I plan to wear this one proudly.
The third colour is almost a mix of the two, and is the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in “001 India Intrigue“. The colour is a beautiful jewel-toned pink, similar to the B. lip crayon, but has some of the darker tones like the Revlon Moisture Stain. I’ve read on a few blogs how great this colour is for darker skin tones, but honestly, even paler girls like myself with the bravery to wear it proudly could make it work just as well for them.
Finally, because the other colours so far have definitely been more central points of makeup looks, I have a more subtle option for if you want to focus more on a different area of the face. This is the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in “008” which for my lips is definitely a “my lips but better” kind of shade which leans ever so slightly darker mauve. It’s great for those days when my lips do lack a bit of colour, but also for just bringing a whole look together without screaming for attention.
These are all shades I plan on wearing this Autumn and maybe a few other discoveries along the way. While I don’t know if I’ll wear these products all the time, I do have other products in different textures (stains, glosses, etc) that also fit these colour families which I’m looking forward to wearing as well.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post, it honestly means so much to me. I also apologise for being a bit M.I.A. last week. For some reason my inspiration just vanished, although I have a lot of posts lined up to make up for it.
