One type of skincare product that mustn’t be forgotten at this time of year is sunscreen. Particularly as even the UK (with its typically drear overcast weather) has been seeing some sunshine. A product I tried very briefly is by Coppertone, and I found it in Poundworld in Cardiff as part of an impulse purchase. As the name of the store suggests, I picked this one up for £1.00 which honestly, isn’t something I can complain about.
The packaging is pretty small, and a great size for keeping in your bag for on-the-go, although I bought this with the intention of keeping this on my desk for my skincare routine. Although, it is great it doesn’t take up too much space.
The texture of the product is very strange, and honestly put me off quite a bit. It looks like it’s meant to be a solid cream, but it comes out reasonably cream like, with streaky liquid in it too. I don’t know if maybe I just need to shake this more, but even when I shake the packaging before squeezing it on my hand, it doesn’t seem to make a difference to the texture. It’s because of the texture that after using this for roughly a week, I decided to stop using it, since it seemed dodgy and it doesn’t work too well with my skin. For some reason, my skin just doesn’t feel quite right after I use this, so I’ve moved on to a back up facial sunscreen which I’m hoping works better with my skin.
Will I buy this again? No… If I were stuck in a situation where I left my sunscreen or misplaced it on holiday, and was also short of cash on hand, then I would pick this up if I had no choice. But it certainly doesn’t work well with my skin.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post, it really means the world to me.
