So, as I didn’t have many empties back in April to feel justified enough to write a post about, I decided to keep hold of them for another month and May did not disappoint. I have a lot of empties from the past two months, and instead of rambling too much, I’m just going to jump in and show you what they are.
I’m going to start with skin care, and the first product I want to talk about is the Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing Vitamin-Enriched Toner. I wrote a full review on this product which you can read here, but to really summarise, I thought it was a nice toner although nothing special. It’s definitely good for more sensitive skin types, but I have plenty of other toners I want to try so I’m in no rush to buy this again.
The next product is the L’Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution Makeup Remover. Again, I’ve reviewed this product and a couple of other L’Oreal Makeup Removers here, so if you want an in-depth review of them, I’ve done so already. This is my second bottle of this I’ve used up now, so I’m looking forward to trying a new makeup remover. I technically have one use left of this, but I think it counts to be in this batch of empties.
Next, is the Mizon AHA & BHA Daily Clean Toner, which again, I have reviewed in full on my blog. It was a nice enough product when I used it as a water-based cleanser, although I’m looking forward to trying a new product similar to this one. It has definitely reassured me I want to try more products from Mizon, and will likely do so in the near future.
Moving on to makeup wipes and sanitisers, I have a few to talk about. On the top left, I used up the Johnson’s Face Care Makeup Be Gone Moisturising Makeup Wipes for dry skin. It was a nice batch of makeup wipes, I only really use them on days I’ve worn minimal amounts of makeup on my general face area. I try not to rely on makeup wipes too much but these are nice simple wipes for those nights when the full makeup removal routine is too much to sit through.
On the top right are the sanitising wipes I typically keep in my desk drawer for when I want to keep my hands clean before I apply makeup. I have a bottle of sanitiser as well, but sometimes I don’t want to sit through letting the gel dry on my hands, so wipes can be convenient. These ones are the Be Gentle Wet Ones hand wipes for sensitive skin. There aren’t many in a pack but since I normally rely on my sanitising gel, I don’t mind not having tons of individual wipes.
On the bottom left, are the Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes, which were my back up to replace the Johnson’s makeup wipes. I prefer these a bit more to the Johnson’s makeup wipes as they are slightly softer on the skin. But the difference between them is otherwise pretty minimal.
Finally, on the bottom right, are the Simple Kind to Eyes Eye Make-Up Remover Pads, which I use as swatch removing pads for when I swatch products for my blog photos or when I declutter my collection. These are nice makeup removing wipes, and although they are slightly abrasive on the skin, I only use them on my hands typically, so it’s not as bad. They’re often on 3 for 2 offers for the Simple brand, so I typically restock on these often.
Moving on to the only makeup products I’ve used up recently, I have the Dolly Wink eyeliners, which I reviewed here. The brown liner on top I used up completely, and I enjoyed using it, however the black liner I think dried out and so I unfortunately had to say goodbye to this. I like these liners, although I have new ones that are in my collection now.
That’s all of the products that I’ve used up throughout April and May. I will write another post like this at the beginning of July if I accumulate enough to talk about for June. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post guys. It truly means the world to me when you show me your support. I didn’t have any favourites for the past month so there won’t be a post on that this time. However, I’m hoping for June there will be.
