So I’m going to own up straight away that I forgot to set my Friday post to actually publish, so that’s being pushed back until later this week as the new month has arrived and my normal posts need to take priority. Please be patient for it – this is what happens when Hollypop gets a bit overwhelmed.
It is really taking some getting used to, but it is now October! This means it’s time to reflect on my beauty regime over September, and then set some goals for the following month.
I’m going to be quite honest, I didn’t really use my sheet masks (again…) this month as I was working through testing my night time routine serums, both I have since written reviews on here and here. So you can bet that’s a goal I’m renewing once again.
I’ve still been quite forgetful about using my notepad I referred to last month. I simply need to form a “note-taking” mindset when I test products so that I actually note down my experiences. So again, another goal that’s being pushed forward.
So of my new goals that I set last month, I’m still a bit confused if the Laneige BB Cushion that I’ve been using on and off is the cause of my breakouts. I tend to use this in a spot-conceal type of way, as I rarely wear a full face of face-products. So I’m starting to feel inclined that maybe it doesn’t clog my pores or cause breakouts to the extent I was worrying about. However, I do plan on keeping an eye out, since I want to review this product at some point.
I have been successful in using up some of my samples, which is nice as I currently have a plastic container half-filled with sample sachets and travel size products. I definitely want to keep this going.
Moving on to goals: I have already started this, but I’m once again decluttering my makeup and skincare and what I don’t like I will pass on to my Mum to let her try out. As someone who bought a lot of makeup and skincare while I was away at university, I still have a stash that I will never use up, realistically speaking. As a result, I plan on writing posts that share the products I’m not going to keep and just muse over my reasons for passing them on. In these posts I’d love to hear your suggestions for ways to potentially make them work that maybe I didn’t think of.
Other than this, most of my goals are the same as last month, with more focus on organisation, to keep my blog in a state of calm. At the moment, it’s still hard to keep my thoughts in place so these goals are something I hope to get me in the right direction.
Thank you so much for reading my post. It really really means the world to me. Tomorrow I plan on having my empties from September up, so please keep an eye out for it. Until then, please take care, and I love you all sooooo much!
