As promised, today I want to talk through the products that I used up throughout September. I am definitely working through products the last couple of months, which for me is great, as I am tired of having so much clutter. Still have a lot of clutter, mind you, but it’s gradually decreasing.
I don’t want to mess around too much, so I’m going to jump in with the Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser. I talked about this in some detail in my blog post here, but overall it was a nice moisturiser. I did get fed up of trying to dispense this product which is why I plan on tossing this and replacing this with a better product.
Next is The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask. Again, I reviewed this product in a lot of detail, but overall I found that it was just time to let this product go. It’s not a true ’empty’ per se, but the clay mask was almost rock solid and to me that said it was past its time. I really liked this product and in future if I don’t find another clay mask that surpasses this one once I finish my stash of existing clay masks. However, I definitely suggest this one (The Body Shop updated their packaging and I have to say, it looks so nice) if you’re in the market for a new clay mask.
Moving on to the two Aromatherapy Associates products, they are both from the Rose skincare line, and I discussed both of them separately, here and here. The first is the cleanser, and the second is the moisturiser. Both products were just ‘meh’ for me, as they were a bit heavy for my skin, but at the same time, they’re not terrible either.
Finally, I sadly have to add the E.L.F Soothing Lip Balm to my empties. This isn’t a true ’empty’ but I accidentally crushed the product when I was checking how much product I had left, and it didn’t twist back down… So now it’s crushed beyond the point of return, so that means I have to say ‘goodbye’ to it. I really loved this product though, as although the texture is super thick, when applied with plenty of time to dry down, this was a fantastic product for using at night time. I rarely praise products this much, but the hydration and difference it made to my lips was just insane. My lips can be dried and cracking the night before, then I can wake up with soft lips like they were never dry in the first place.
These were all of my empties from September, and I should have a new post up tomorrow. I hope you’ll consider checking it out! Until then, thank you so much for reading my blog post, I love you so much and please take care.
