Review: The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Hand Cream

Happy Monday! Let’s kick off a new week with a review of The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Hand Cream, which lives in my desk’s drawer or just sits on my desk. This 30ml tube retails for £5.00, as do the other scents/formulations of their hand creams.

This 30ml tube sits wonderfully inside my desk’s drawer, lying down nicely in the drawer divider where I keep it, as well as with my lip balm, and roll-on eye cream. This would also fit nicely in a makeup bag or in a bag’s pocket.

For 30ml of product, I think this is a bit on the pricey side compared to other hand creams on the market: I love the Superdrug Oat & Coconut Intensive Hand Cream, which retails for £4.99 for 75ml of product. A little bit more generous, and I don’t work through it as quickly.

The packaging is very simple and easy to work with: an easy to squeeze tube with a twist-off cap. The hole the product squeezes out from is fairly large with no stopper or anything else to help control the product, but I haven’t found that to be an issue.

My method is to squeeze product from the top and down towards the lid, so controlling how much hand cream I squeeze out is really easy for me. This is my personal preference, as it let’s me see how much product I’ve worked through and control it a lot more easily.

The formula itself is a very smooth gel-cream that smooths over the skin very easily. I find it absorbs into my skin very quickly, as it claims to on their website, and is pleasantly moisturising. It doesn’t help treat my eczema, unfortunately, but I do find that for general dryness, it helps to reduce it.

I think this is a nice hand cream for general day-to-day maintenance for my skin. But for the colder and harsher months when my eczema really flares up, I’d need something a bit more intensive. However, if you don’t have issues with eczema or other skin conditions like it, this is a great option.

Overall, I think this is a decent hand cream, although not my overall favourite. I think this is lovely as a gift, for travel or your bag, thanks to its size. But if you’re looking for something to keep around your work desk or in your bathroom, you may want to find something that has more product, as you’ll be working through this very quickly and replacing it often.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post. It means a lot to me to receive your support. I hope you are happy and healthy, and I’ll speak to you again soon.
