If there’s one product that’s been waiting to be reviewed for literally months now, it’s the The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Serum. You can find this £13.00, and if you want to check out their website, then check out the link here. This is definitely long overdue, and is one I’ve been using since around winter of last year.
As I’ve discussed before on other blog posts, my skin is typically quite oily, and during the winter months my skin becomes more normal to combination type. During the colder months, this serum was able to keep my skin moisturised enough alongside my moisturiser, and during the warmer months, I try to pair up with my summer based moisturiser to handle my skin being its normal level of oiliness again.
What I like about this serum is how light in texture it is, which is great because from experience, my skin doesn’t handle heavy or thick creams, and the same goes for dense serums too. As the photo shows, it’s very liquid-based, but it’s got enough solidity to it that it’s not messy to apply. This is great particularly when getting ready for work, cause it’s very quick to apply on my skin, and it absorbs quickly too. When it’s applied to the skin, my face feels much softer afterwards, and although it doesn’t minimise any dry patches from flakiness or acne, it does make my skin feel like it’s taken care of.
For what this product is, I am definitely happy I tried it out. I don’t have anything particularly bad to say about this product, but it’s also not a miracle in a bottle either. For the time being, I don’t plan on repurchasing this, just because I have so many serums stashed away to try out (it’s seriously shameful how many products I have stashed away…) that I want to take the time to try and appreciate them first. However, I definitely suggest this product if you have mildly dry skin, or if your skin is slightly oily, then it will handle your moisture levels without provoking extra oiliness. It’s definitely not the cheapest product on the market, but you can make this last months and months, so I think it evens itself out in the end.
Thank you for taking the time for reading my post. You have no idea how much it means to me. If you have any questions about this product, post a comment and I’ll happily reply as soon as I see it. Or, if you just want to say “hi” or whatever, feel free to comment too. I would love to chat. Otherwise, you can find me on Twitter, where you might see some of the news about when I live stream playing video games (you don’t have to watch, but I do tweet about it from time to time).
