Review: Superdrug Optimum Cooling Eye Roll-On

This particular product has been in my skincare routine for a while now, so today I’m going to discuss the first two in taking care of the eye area of my face. This is the Superdrug Optimum Cooling Eye Roll-On, which contains caffeine and hyaluron, and can be bought exclusively in Superdrug, for some reason this isn’t listed on their website anymore, but I remember buying this at around 1/3 off when there was a deal, at around £5.00.

As the name suggests, this is a roll-on type eye product, which I personally have mixed feelings about. While this is a mess free way to apply the product inside, you have to be careful how you apply. It’s very easy to end up tugging the delicate skin of the eye area, although when you don’t, the product can be applied quite liberally and can then be gently massaged in. The metallic ball helps provide a cooling effect on the eyes, which in this warmer weather feels amazing. Plus the product – which is a serum-like texture, also feels slightly cool upon application and is really relaxing to massage into the skin.

As far as storing this goes, I do store it with the roller-ball faced down, since if I don’t it can be impossible to get any product out. I like to use this product as a serum, and then use an eye cream over the top. I can’t say I’ve  noticed any significant difference in the texture of my under-eye area, but it’s definitely not drying out, so I can’t complain about that.

Will I buy this again? Maybe, I can’t say I care too much for roll-on type products, for some reason they don’t really grab my attention much. But this isn’t a terrible product either. I think, for the time being, I’m going to make a note of it and if I find myself wanting a product like this again, and another one hasn’t beat it to my skincare routine, I may come back and repurchase this.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post, it means the world to me that you might enjoy it. If you have any questions, I would love to answer them the best I can, or if you have any suggestions, I would love to hear those too.
