Review: Good Things Stay Clear Purifying Cleanser 150ml

Having finally finished this product, I felt it was worth reviewing this while I had enough of the cleanser left to swatch for you guys before I have to bin it. I picked up this cleanser with similar intentions to the lotion from my last post: benefits for oily skin that are also kind to the skin. If you’ve read even a few of my reviews, you’ll know that I have oily skin which is also mildly sensitive, so Good Things as a brand appeals to me quite a lot. I use this cleanser at night to wash away the stress of the day, so it is a part of my night time routine.

The product itself has a very sweet blue and purple design combination which comes across as gentle and relaxing. The colours also co-ordinate with the blueberry ingredient that they claim on the tube. On the topic of the blueberries, there is a very lovely berry scent which I personally like. Although some people may find this too intense if your skin is sensitive to fragrance, or if fruity scents are not your cup of tea.

As a cleanser it is a gel consistency and from experience a little goes a long way. I used this daily when I showered and it lasted around 3 and a half to 4 months. I like that it’s a gel cleanser since cream based cleansers sometimes clog my pores, and water based cleansers are best for me as a light cleanser. An example of what I mean is the Good Things Lotion I reviewed in my last post which I use in the morning to clean my skin in case my skin gets oily overnight. As a gel consistency I’ve found from experience that it cleans my skin more effectively and deeply, which feels great after a long day at work or university.

Over all, this cleanser is very nice and has been a very well-liked part of my night time routine. It cleanses the skin well and hasn’t over-dried my skin or caused any nasty reactions. It also doesn’t cost very much which is another positive about this product. I find it hard to fault this product, but if you don’t like fruity scents or react to fragrance then this may not be for you. Otherwise this is a lovely cleanser and I recommend it to anyone who has combination or oily skin.

Have you tried this cleanser or this brand? If so how did it work for you? Or are you considering trying it for yourself?
