Review: Christian Breton Age Priority Exfoliating Lotion

Christian Breton Lotion

This is a review I’ve been meaning to write for a while. This was another impulse buy I made a few months ago in TK Maxx where I get a bit lost in all of the interesting brands that otherwise are much more difficult to get hold of. I paid £6.99 for it, which in my opinion is a decent price for 200ml of product. I’ve been using this consistently for the past couple of months, and now that I’ve almost used it up, I’m finally remembering to write this review.

Christian Breton Lotion

The product is a water based cleanser, and claims to have AHA to mildly and gently exfoliate the skin. I was initially really skeptical about this type of product since it’s the kind of product where you don’t see obvious signs it is working, but I persevered with it because I was really curious. As part of my skin care routine, I use it as a cleanser and then follow with a toner and the rest of my routine, so it’s the first step I take to clean my skin in the morning.

To use the lotion, I pour a small amount of a cotton pad, and wipe very gently over my skin. The product claims to have no alcohol in it, but I avoid the eye area with this product just in case of irritation. I haven’t had any irritation otherwise with this product so I’m really happy about it. With the colder weather and the fact I’m constantly feeling under the weather, my skin is a bit more sensitive right now, and my skin hasn’t reacted badly to the lotion, which I am immensely happy and relieved about.

When I use it on my skin, it definitely helps my skin feel softer and smoother. I use this in conjunction with my toner (my backup bottle of Simply Pure Refreshing Toner for sensitive skin) and it seems like they work well together. They both work well to prepare my skin for my serums and moisturisers which I really love.

The only gripe I have is how hard it is to get hold of this product. Since TK Maxx changes their product lines often and as a customer it can feel random and unpredictable. So if I ever find this is TK Maxx in a store near me, I will definitely stock up on this. Of course, in the meantime it means finding a new lotion to try.

Will I buy this product again? Oh most definitely. For now I just need to be patient about finding another bottle and I’ll enjoy testing out other products while I do. I recently started a list on my iPad for products I will dfinitely repurchase someday, as a reminder for myself so I don’t lose sight of the products I really enjoyed, and this is the first entry on that list.

Thank you for taking the time to ready my post, it truly means the world to me. If you have any questions at all about this product or even sensible ones about myself, I would love to read them in the comment section. I plan on having another post up very soon, and I hope you’ll consider reading it when it’s posted.
