Products I'm Passing On - April 2017

As promised, I plan to discuss the products I’m simply not intending to keep, but instead of throwing them away, I will pass them on to someone I care about who I hope will enjoy them. This usually means my mum, although I think I’ve overwhelmed her so far. I like to reflect on the previous month’s decisions, so on-trend with how I’ve been keeping this series going so far, today I’m talking about April’s declutter.

I will be quite honest, I haven’t been wearing makeup much the past couple of months and my skincare routine hasn’t really changed much the past few months either, so April’s declutter is quite small, and I expect it to remain this way now that I’ve decluttered a lot of my makeup collection and as my skincare routine settles into something reliable again.

To kick it off with the only skincare item I’m decluttering, it is the Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel mask. I don’t think there’s anything specifically wrong with this product, I simply don’t like peel-off masks generally speaking. I find they’re too over-powering on my skin, but I know my mum uses them, so she’s the ideal person to hand this to.

Finally we have two Essence Eyeshadows, the first in the shade ‘10 Dance Mauve‘ and the second in ‘21 Keep Calm and Berry On‘. I didn’t find the first shade to look particularly good on my eyes, as beautiful as it is in the pan, which I was quite upset about. As for the berry/burgundy shade, I was really excited to use and enjoy this shade, but unfortunately it just lacked even decent pigmentation. I would have been okay with this if the shade built up colour nicely, but it’s also quite patchy on my eyelids. I’m hoping that the toned down pigmentation might work for my mum, and potentially work better on her eyelids. But for me, it was a disappointment. I’m still in the market for a shade like it though, so if you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

I have a lot of other Essence eyeshadows in my collection, and for the time being, it’s just these shadows I’m not happy with, so I don’t feel like the entire line of eyeshadows are bad. But this is it for my post today, I have a review in the works for the near-future, so I hope you’ll check it out once it goes live. I also have a series of personal-health related posts I plan to write up, mostly for myself, but I want to publish them so that they might be helpful or interesting to others. I think it will help me to be open it in a way I can control.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post, it really means the world to me. I hope you’re happy and healthy.

When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now
each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment.
Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Cheers!

Apologies for the inconvenience. I have looked into it, and I can’t see you subscribed to anything on my website to suggest that you should be getting email notifications for anything, my posts, comments, etc. If this issue still persists, please let me know, but from my end, you shouldn’t be receiving emails at all. Thank you for getting in touch.
