June Roundup/July Goals 2016:

For reasons I can’t quite figure out, June both flew by but also felt like it took forever to pass. Maybe it’s my personal discomfort with the summer heat we’ve been having here in the UK. It’s not even just the heat, but the humidity, which my body struggles to cope with. With this in mind, this has definitely played havoc on my skin lately, making my skin even oilier than usual.

As for what I aimed to improve upon, I still need to find a way to incorporate my mass horde of sheet masks into my routine. In fact, if you’re curious to see the sheet masks I have, please let me know in the comments, so I can see if you are genuinely interested. I think, with my skin starting to feel more dehydrated, this could help curb the excess oil that has gotten worse.

In the past week, I managed to get hold of a bathroom drawer/caddy from my mum, who used to keep her hair tools and such in it, but recently decluttered the contents and gave the storage to me. This made a massive difference to how I store my makeup – whether it’s stuff that I have on-the-go or my stashed makeup that I have yet to start using. This has helped to lower my stress levels slightly since my room just feels a little less cluttered and more organised – which Hollypop likes.

July Goals:

As for what I want to achieve for the following month, I think it’s fair to say that my sheet masks need to get involved once again. I’m getting slightly frustrated with myself with how badly I’ve handled this particular goal, but it remains on my list since I need to handle them.

With my makeup collection now in a much better order, I want to make use of my top display area on my plastic drawers to really change up how I wear makeup. If I’m honest, I don’t wear makeup often, but when I do, my makeup tends to be extremely minimal, in spite of how much makeup I actually own. What I want to work on in the following months, and this month included, is to use my acrylic display to put makeup products there that will encourage me to really grab for different things and experiment with my looks. For me this will achieve two things: first, I will actually use more products and potentially use one or two up, and second, I will become more adventurous with my makeup and I will actually discover looks for myself that I can share with you guys and really diversify my blog posts.

What I also want to achieve from a blogging perspective is some consistency and regularity to my blog posts – my life feels a bit stale but also chaotic at the same time, and this often throws me off from writing blog posts to meet the schedule I have imagined in my head. So, to help counter this, I want to aim to write three blog posts a week: one on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and if I can manage it, another post on Sunday. I feel like this is a reasonable schedule: but a reason to break this schedule will be not having a post that I can write to its best quality to share with you within my schedule. I would rather wait to test a product for a bit longer than rush a post just to keep my ego and schedule happy.

I think that’s all I want to set for myself for this month. I think these are reasonable goals (even if the first is still longer overdue to be done…) and I hope you guys will support me to meet these goals. If you want to keep up with me and chat with me on social media, you can find me on Twitter, which is where I’m most active on social media. Otherwise, thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog post, it really makes me so happy, and I look forward to hearing from you. <3
