Happy New Year and hello to 2020! I hope you were able to say goodbye to 2019 with a smile, and welcome 2020 with enthusiasm. As it’s the beginning of a new year, it also means it’s time to outline some new goals for my new project pan. So let’s jump straight in!

Products Brought Forward:

Before I get carried away, let’s have a chat about the products from my previous project pan that I didn’t use up. The first being the Quick Fix Facials Mega Moisture Gel Mask. This lives in my bathroom, and I use it as part of my multi-masking routine. I have about a quarter of the tube left, so I’m quite confident I’ll use it up this time around. For a product that claims to have 10x facials on the bottom of the tube, this has lasted a very long time for me.

A beloved product in my routine is the PURITO Centella Green Level Eye Cream, my favourite day time eye cream. I initially included it in my last project pan, because it was a strange example of the tube feeling seemingly endless, then suddenly, I’d make a big dent in the tube. So I added it to measure my progress. Now that I’m really far into the tube, I am happy to carry this one forward, as I feel confident I’ll use it up.

I also want to see if I can work through my current night time facial oil, which is the Global Beauty Care Vitamin C Facial Oil. It’s tricky to measure how much is still in the bottle, but I’ve been using this daily for several months, so I want to think that I’m getting close to emptying this bottle.

I’m also bringing forward an eyeshadow, which is from the Collection Work the Colour Nude Eyeshadow Palette. I de-potted this a while ago, and this is literally the most frequently used eyeshadow in my collection. I use this regardless of my eye look for subtly brightening my brow bone, and expected to make a lot more progress than I have. I did spend most of December not wearing makeup, so that really hindered my progress.

The last product to bring forward is the Beauty By Earth Organic Lip Balm, which from guessing, I’m about halfway through. As the weather is still fairly cold and dry, I’m optimistic that I’ll use it up. This is also the lip balm I use the most lately.

Body Care:

Starting with body care, I want to include The Body Shop Cactus Blossom Shower Gel. I’m roughly half way through the bottle, and use this as my only shower gel type of product. This is a limited edition from the summer time, but I don’t work through body care very quickly. I also wanted to include this one because by the end of March I’d want to move on to a new shower gel. I have The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel in my back-up drawer, so if I can empty this shower gel in time for spring, the timing would be brilliant.

Another beloved product for me is the Superdrug Oat & Coconut Intensive Hand Cream. This is my go-to hand cream throughout the entire year, but especially for the winter. This helps keep my eczema-prone hands in check, and with diligence, any flair ups I get are reduced. Now that I have a 4 month old puppy in my life who needs daily walks, I’m outside a lot more, so my hands are exposed to the elements more than they used to be. So I depend on hand creams more than I used to. I have roughly just under half a tube left, so I’m confident I can use it up.

Moving to skincare, one I’m almost 100% certain I’ll use up is The Body Shop Camomile Fresh Micellar Cleansing Water. As I mentioned in my review of this micellar water, I’ve been working through this bottle really quickly, so I don’t expect this to last another 3 months in my collection.

The COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream is a bit of a cheat to include, as it’s on its last legs. But products have appeared to be days away from emptying but lasted a couple of weeks, so I wanted to include this anyway. This is my current sun screen, and I love it for the winter climate here in the UK. In warmer weather, it’s not a good fit on my oily skin, but when the weather is colder, it’s lovely. This is what I’ll use for the winter, and I’ll figure out the right fit for the rest of the year.

Sheet Masks:

After including 4 sheet masks in my last project pan, I really liked that it motivated me to use the sheet masks in my excessive collection. So I’m included 3 sheet masks from Tony Moly to help work through what little non-cruelty-free products remain in my collection.

These are the Pureness 100 Green Tea Mask Sheet Skin Soothing, I’m Real Avocado Mask Sheet Nutrition and I’m Real Rice Mask Sheet Clear Skin, respectively. Now that I have my adorable little puppy Kiki, finding time for myself is a bit tricky, but I’m still committed to using my sheet masks.

Finally, I’m including a few makeup products. I hit pan on the Collection Primed & Ready Invisible Setting Powder back around early-mid November, and I’ve made decent progress so far. I think there’s a good chance I can use up as much of the pan as a brush can get into by the end of March, so I feel excited to include this product.

I also want to include the NYX Tinted Brow Mascara that I reviewed fairly recently, as it feels like I’m working through the tube to the point where there’s less and less excess product on the brow wand. I can’t really measure my progress but my gut instinct says I might be able to finish it as part of this project pan.

A product I intended to included but am only half including, is the GOSH Eyebrow Pencil, which I also review recently. Between putting my makeup on early this afternoon and preparing this blog post, I’ve misplaced the pencil. But I want to mention it just in case it shows up. If it does, this will be part of the project, but I’m also opening a new eyebrow pencil just in case it doesn’t. So in the situation where I do find it, I’ll put it back in my routine, but if it doesn’t, well, it’s gone. The pencil itself is on its last legs: the two ends of the pencil are about to collide, with the lids for each end almost touching. So it felt appropriate to add it.

This concludes my project pan goals for the January 1st to March 31st! I’m really excited to see how this goes, especially as I feel like I’ve made more realistic goals compared to my last project pan.

Thank you so much for reading my blog post, it really means a lot to me to receive your support. I hope you are happy and healthy, and can face the new year with strength, confidence and inspiration.
