Happy Thursday, today we’re finally having a chat about the products I used up in December of 2019. There aren’t a lot of products this time around, but enough that I wanted to sit down and have a little chat about them. So let’s jump straight in!
This was part of my recent project pan, but I’m finally letting go of the Witch Naturally Clear Blemish Gel. This was my dedicated spot treatment for months, and while it’s not truly ’empty’, it’s very close. I’m letting go of this product as it just doesn’t perform like it used to. I had less than a quarter of the tube left, so I’m pretty proud of myself. Now I’m moving back to The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil, but in the 20ml bottle.
A couple of miscellaneous products, it’s no surprise at this point to see another sachet of the Botanics All Bright Cleansing Facial Wipes today. I say this over and over, but just in case you’re new to my empties posts, I use these primarily for spot-cleaning my makeup brushes. I use them from time to time for removing makeup from my face, but that is a habit I try to avoid. I use these exclusively at this point, as Botanics is both cruelty-free, and the wipes themselves are biodegradable. This is a combination that’s really hard to come by, so I’m sticking to these until I find a more affordable or better alternative.
This is a bit more random, but I wanted to include the Boots Refreshing Handy Wipes. These are non-biodegradable, so I’m happy to finally have worked through this little packet. I think I have one more of these in my bag, but I’ve bought biodegradable replacements for the future. These do their job, but I’m happy to move on to more environmentally conscious alternatives.
Moving on to makeup, the first is a blush that I’ve loved for quite a long time. This is the I Heart Makeup I Want Candy! Blush in the shade ‘Blushing‘. This is a purchase from back when I was still in university, living in Cardiff, and when I Heart Makeup was still a thing, before it re-branded to I Heart Revolution. So it’s quite an old product, and it’s started to lose its pigmentation lately.
A product I wish I had passed along instead while it was still fresh, is the GOSH Forever Metallic Eye Shadow Stick, in the shade ‘02 Beige‘. This has sadly started to dry out, and sat neglected in my collection. I used this exclusively as an inner corner highlight initially, but I’ve been reaching for powder eye shadows from palettes or singles instead.
Finally, one makeup brush that’s been much loved is from an EcoTools eye brush set, although sadly I can’t remember the exact name. The hairs are starting to fray and fall out, so it’s time to let this one go. But it’s been used quite a bit in my collection, so I’m saying goodbye without regrets.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post, it really means a lot to me. It’s been a hectic few weeks for me, so thank you for being patient while I get back into the swing of things. I hope you are happy and healthy, and I’ll speak to you again soon.
