Moving on to the final section of my empties for August, today is a fairly miscellaneous section, but there are a fair number of eye products. Apparently my lighting went a little crazy and phone didn’t make that obvious to me when photographing, so I apologise for that. Without further ado though, I’m going to just jump in.
The first eye product is the W7 Prime Eye Magic Eye Primer, which as you can probably guess, has a broken lid. This is the major reason I’m throwing it out, as it was just a cracked lid until I started photographing and a chunk broke off… I don’t trust the packaging to survive traveling so I’m just going to toss it out. As for the formula itself though, it was just too watery and didn’t dry down to a texture that helped me out. I prefer to use my cream eyeshadows instead for now so this was just taking up space that it doesn’t need to.
Two old-school makeup products for me are the Max Factor Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadows in the shades ‘Icicle Rose‘ and ‘Coffee‘. If these weren’t as old as they are, I’d pass these on to mum as I love the formulation, although Icicle Rose has hayfever syndrome on me. By this I mean it makes my eyes look a sickly, irritated looking pink rather than looking like I have makeup on. I do plan to look to repurchase these in the future, but for now I’m going to wait until after the move.
An eyeshadow crayon I’m decluttering is the Seventeen Eye Eye Crayon in the shade ‘Iced‘. It’s a really pretty shade for applying to the inner eye for a pop of brightness, but I noticed the crayon starting to get quite dry. I’m not sure I’ll repurchase this just because I’m not sure I can work through one crayon in the six month shelf life time span.
Now starting on the more miscellaneous items. The first is the liner brush from the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner. Apparently I had a second liner brush, and so I’m throwing away this one and keeping the remaining one, which has been re-purposed into a lip brush after I cleaned it up.
A blush that’s a real throw-back for me is the Mememe Shimmer Stack in ‘Pink Zest‘, which used to be stocked in Superdrug years ago. It’s a really pretty blush but far too shimmery for my tastes, never mind being years old.
Aside from the random eyelash glue, I’m also throwing away the Bourjois 2-in-1 Tweezers and False Eyelash Applicator. I tried using false eyelashes about two years ago and it’s just not for me. Never mind removing what little visible eyelid space I have wearing false lashes, it’s far too fiddly a process for me. So this is now a redundant tool in my collection I’m finally making time to get rid of.
And this concludes the last of my empties for August. It’s been a long time waiting to finally bin these products but I’m so happy I was able to share this with you. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post, it truly means a lot to me, and I’ll speak to you again soon.
