So September 1st is here, which means it’s time for an empties post. I didn’t empty too many products during August, but I have enough that I feel I can talk about them. I still haven’t gathered enough products for a ‘Products I’ve Passed On’ post, so I will be skipping it again for the second month in a row. But for now, let’s talk about the three products I used up, since this is still a lot for normal habits.
The first are the Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Wipes, which I keep in my desk drawer. I finished these up quite early into the month, and keep them around for post-micellar cleansing to remove any traces of concealer or base makeup that I may have missed with my makeup remove and cotton pad. For cleansing wipes, they’re alright, they’re not exceptional in any real way. They don’t irritate my skin which is the key factor for me, so definitely something I’ll be happy to repurchase. I replaced these with the Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes yesterday during my online grocery shopping order, so expect me to talk about those sometime in the future.
Secondly, is the Dr.Lewinn’s Anti-Ageing Toner, which I wrote a review about recently. If you want my full opinion on the toner, I encourage you to read my review that I have linked, however for a quick TLDR; it’s a really nice toner but I’m just sad I used it up so quickly. I’ve brought back my Etude House Pig Nose Clear Black Head Deep Cleansing Oil Balm in the meantime, so if you’d like to review it in the future, please leave me a comment to let me know.
Lastly, I’m throwing away the Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Lotion in the travel size. I’ve kept this in my desk drawer for a while now, but I’ve noticed that the consistency is starting to change in a not-so-nice kind of way, and it is reaching the end of the product too, so I decided it’s time to let it go. During it’s prime though, it’s a fantastic lotion that absorbs really quickly onto the skin. I think it’s worth picking up the full-size product which I plan to do eventually – but for now, my stash of other body lotions need to be worked through, so I’ve replaced it with the Life NK Cocooning Body Lotion which is also a sample size version, which if you’d like, I’ll review in the future once I’ve tried it for a bit longer.
But these are all of the products I used up in August. I think it was a successful month for empties, as I tend to take months to finish a single product. I’m looking forward to seeing which products, if any, I use up in September, so I hope you’ll check back in next month for that post. Otherwise, thank you for taking time out of your day to read my post, and I hope you are happy and healthy.
