I’m a day late, but today I want to talk about the products I emptied throughout April, as this was a month where I truly emptied everything I’m going to talk about, and not include products that simply had gone off. I don’t want to waffle on too much, so let’s just jump in, since I know I ramble.
Jumping in with two products by the brand Simple, I used up their Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes and their Kind to Eyes Eye Make-up Remover Pads. You’d think I’m sponsored by them since I feature this brand and the eye make-up remover pads so often, but unfortunately for me, I’m not. I find Simple’s make up wipes to be really reliable year-round for my oily-sensitive skin, so for me, unless I can’t find them when I’m shopping, I rarely pick up any other brand’s make up wipes. Both of these have sat in my desk for when I need them.
I use the Cleansing Facial Wipes for days I wore sunscreen or very light makeup… Or you know, when I’m just feeling lazy, which isn’t that often, actually. The Eye Make-up Remover Pads are kept in my desk for blogging purposes for when I swatch skincare and makeup products on my hands, so I don’t need to use an entire make up wipe just to clean up my hands. You might find it strange that I keep them in my desk, but since this is where I spend most of my time, and because I work late into the night, it let’s me do my work with ease and for times I am active into the night, it’s a way to clean my skin without going into the bedroom to wake up my husband. He says he’ll sleep through it, but I’d rather not take the risk.
Moving on to the two serums I’ve been using the past several months, the first is the Skin Lab Treatment Serum, which I’ve reviewed in detail here. I don’t want to reiterate my review too much, but I was happy I used it up, and think it’s worth looking into for most skin types. It’s really lightweight so most skin types can look at this as an option if you’re in the market for a new serum. The second serum, is the Botanics Radiance Concentrate Serum, which I was sure I had reviewed, but apparently haven’t. I will keep the bottle aside for now as there’s just enough to squeeze out for reviewing purposes, and I will write a review in the near future instead. Spoiler though, I generally liked it, but if you want a more in-depth review, I’ll write one up for the end of next week, depending how I schedule out my posts.
Moving on to the only makeup item I’ve used up, I finished the GOSH Intense Eye Liner Pen in the shade ‘01 Black‘. I’ve owned both the black and brown shades at certain points, and while they’re decent eyeliners, I find them a little lackluster for pigmentation. I don’t consider this an entirely bad thing as I have extremely pale skin and a nervousness for my makeup looking too bold, but I know this isn’t an opinion everyone shares, so you may find them not quite your cup of tea. If you prefer bolder and more intense makeup, I’d say give these a miss. However, if you prefer more subtle or natural makeup looks, or you’re just new to makeup and want an eyeliner that’s more forgiving, this is worth looking at it. Overall though, I don’t regret buying and using this liner, although it took me longer to use up the black liner as I wear brown more often.
Lastly, I have a deodorant. I prefer roll-ons, and the one I’ve kept on-hand is the Sure Cool Blue Deodorant, which you can find at any drugstore or supermarket. I don’t really know how to attempt to review a deodorant, but I don’t have any complaints. I don’t live a particularly active lifestyle, but I find it does it’s job well as someone who, as much as I hate to admit it, sweats easily.
And that sums up my empties from April. As I anticipated, I rambled a lot. I completely lost track of the days of the month, as I’m struggling with some chronic health issues at the moment, hence my lack of content the past week or so, but I’m aiming to make it manageable enough to keep writing. Expect a review for the Botanics serum very soon, since I didn’t realise I hadn’t actually reviewed it until I was writing this post, and I have a couple of other posts that I want to write, so, health willing, I will write these up soon.
All that aside, thank you for taking the time to read my post, I can’t thank you enough for taking time out of your day. It means a lot to me to receive your support, and I hope you are happy and healthy.
