I’m a little late after a frantic first week of May, but here I am finally updating with the products I used up in April of 2017. I’ve had a blood test done recently along with what’s felt like heavy fatigue, but I’m taking advantage of a more energetic moment to sit down and be productive.
I’ll start with the smaller pieces first, so the first is the* Simple Kind to Eyes Soothing Eye Balm*. I’ve been using this as my night time eye cream for many months now, and I talked about it in my Review/Comparison: Simple Eye Creams post. I personally prefer the Regeneration Age Resisting formula better because of the texture, but I love both for slightly different reasons. The Age Resisting formula is more gel-like and better for my skin type, but I love how soothing this eye cream is – as it’s name suggests it behaves. I’m currently using my backup of this now, so expect this product to appear in another empties post in a couple of months time.
Moving on to the EOS Lip Balm, I’m tossing my one in the flavour ‘Vanilla Mint‘. For anyone who’s been reading my blog for a while now, you may recognise it from my Canada and America Haul post. I’ve been using this since November of last year, and thought it was a nice lip balm. For anyone living in the UK, you can find this lip balm in Boots for a hefty £6.50 each, but I want to include my own affiliate link *here*, as it is a little bit cheaper. I didn’t technically finish this product up as it started to go bad before I finished it, but I did find it very moisturising, and was great for keeping in my desk while I worked.
Now onto the bulkier items from April’s used up items. First is the Witch Naturally Clear Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash, which unfortunately had orange gunk in the pump so I decided it wasn’t worth the risk using it. So I don’t have anything I can really say about it, simply that I’m sad it went off before I could use it.
Moving on to my favourite product that I used up last month, I both happily and sadly emptied the St. Ives Timeless Skin Daily Microdermabrasion scrub, which I reviewed here. I absolutely adored this scrub, and sadly still can’t find a suitable affiliate link, I honestly can’t remember the last time I was so happy by a product. The scrub is extremely gentle on my sensitive skin, but still exfoliates dead skin enough that I can routinely keep my skin smooth but not feeling scratched. I’ve moved on to a different facial scrub for the time being which I’ll review in the future, but I have a feeling I’ll struggle to find a scrub that works better than this one has for my skin.
Finally, we have a face mask, which is the Superdrug Aloe Vera Mud Mask, which I’ve been using alongside the Dead Sea Mud Mask, which I’m fairly confident I’ve finished up before, and relatively recently. I used this on my cheeks and found this great at keeping my pores clear but not so over-powering that it made my skin uncomfortable. It’s a nice mud mask and definitely great to try if you’re on a tight budget, as both masks I’ve just mentioned retail for £2.59 each.
These were the products I finished up in April, tomorrow I’ll post which products I’m passing on so I hope you’ll look forward to that. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog post. It means the world to me, truly.
